This week in Stock Photos Weekly, we bring you five images of urban places of interest from five different European capitals. Each and every one of these cities has its own unique character which, I believe, can be observed in this week’s pictures too. All of them also offer a great amount and variety of interesting places, some of which we have already introduced at our site Trevl Photos.
We begin in the Austrian capital, Vienna, and the stunning square Maria-Theresien-Platz. This square is located in the centre of the city between the world-famous Ringstraße and the Museums Quarter (Museumsquartier) which is a modern area full of museums, cafés, restaurants and other public spaces. This contrast between the old and the new perhaps even enhances the experience of visiting these places.
Similarly to Vienna, Prague is also known for its beautiful historical city centre and many landmarks from the times that have long been gone. The square displayed in the stock image below is the main square at Malá Strana (literally ‘Small Side’) which is the part of the city below the castle on the western shore of the river Vltava.
Further below, you will find our first ever stock image from Madrid. I am absolutely sure that more images from this gorgeous city will find their way to our site but this time, we present the Segovia Viaduct. This beautiful bridge connecting the town and the Royal Palace of Madrid has a somewhat dark history, though. Because of its height, it has been a popular place for suicides since it was opened. To prevent more tragedies, the glass wall was installed along both sides of the bridge.
These were the stock images of this week. I encourage you to share them with your friends and colleagues who might find them useful in their creative projects. Moreover, we have a plenty of content coming for you here at Trevl in the next few days. In the next post, I will show you a few of my favourite places to see on Kungsholmen island in Stockholm.
